Description
The cherry is a beloved fruit enjoyed by both adults and children for its irresistible sweetness and vibrant appearance. Small and round, about 2 cm in diameter, it features a glossy dark red skin and tender, juicy pulp. A true taste of summer, cherries first arrive in markets in May, but thanks to off-season imports from Chile and Argentina, high-quality cherries are available year-round.
Rich in ellagic acid, cherries offer protective properties that may help prevent the growth of certain cancer cells. They are also known for their excellent diuretic, antioxidant, and joint-supporting benefits. Beyond their health value, cherries bring a burst of flavor to any dish.
